(Property in California) New tenants that moved in on the first of September are requesting I replace/ fix the microwave since it is not heating properly. Who is responsible for fixing the microwave?

Just my own two cents. If the microwave was in the home prior to them moving in, and it was provided by you then it would fall to you to fix/replace. But of course if they brought it themselves, then no it is there responsibility to fix/replace.
