Assault. How to evict?

I had a semi-drunk tenant tell me he heard a mouse in the wall.  He was animated and got loud and then wanted to fight.  I backed up and in the whole incident he bumped me and there were witnesses.  Officers came and charged him with assault.  He is in the middle of his one-year lease period and the rent is current.  Should I put a 30 day lease termination notice on his door?  I assume there's not a faster way?

Talk to him in the daylight with a witness, don't hide behind a notice on the door or he'll be really angry. Offer to hire an exterminator and ask what he thinks is attracting the mice. Food left out overnight? Maybe take out the trash more often? Offer to let him out of the lease without penalty if he's not happy there. Handle with kid gloves this one time only, then get serious if he acts up again.
