Rental Default Insurance

As a small landlord, had some issues in the past with renters defaulting. Is this a pain point for others as well? Getting some data points, as I am exploring the possibility of starting my own insurance company to provide "Default Insurance" - landlord is covered for 6 months if the tenant defaults.

Any feedback? Thanks.

I've never heard of that but it would probably be simpler to just self-insure by doing better screening or collecting more money in advance from the tenant.
