Hours to Show Rental Property to Tenants

I own a rental, my dad owns and manages many apartments, and I am looking for a new place to rent. So I have been talking to many property management companies looking for a place to rent, and also evaluating them as if they were to one day manage my properties.

I want to go view potential rentals, but the lady told me she doesn't show in the evenings, and maybe can do Saturday. Is this a common practice? I work during the day, and if she were showing my rental, I hope she could do evenings to cater to the pool of applicants that also work full time jobs. I understand that they have to set hours for themselves, but should they show rentals during the evening too? This is a customer service business. Is not showing in the evening standard practice?

@Julie Marquez showing units isn't the funnest task of a PM but you are vastly limiting your tenant pool by only showing units during "working hours" when most tenants are at work. We typically schedule viewings or hold opens between 5:30 and 7pm on weekdays then in the morning/afternoon on a weekend. It does get a bit tricky in winter months when it gets dark so early. During that time we try and schedule between 4:30-5:30p on weekdays.

A PM's job is to have their clients best interest in mind, not their own. Inconvenience comes with the territory.
