Im considering becoming a section 8 landlord.  The research i have done so far does not seem to make for a good investment.  The rents that they (section 8) would pay in my area(LONG ISLAND) are much lower than i thought.  I would lose money to go this route. If i am missing something, please someone let me know.  Is there anyone in the bigger pockets community a current section 8 landlord.  The numbers i run on buying a property and rehabing it, and the section 8 rents i could receive do not make this possible.  Also it is not a popular thing to be a section 8 landlord in my area.  When ever i speak to anyone about it they look at me like im crazy.  Ive tried the library to take out books and there was not even one.  I have been trying to get my hands on THE SECTION 8 BIBLE BOOK but i can only buy it from amazon, no one else seems to have it.  Im not giving up, can anyone out there please advise me............
