Tenant from Hell

I would like to keep this short and sweet. I need some advice. 

I have recently purchased a two family home which i occupy, as well as inherited tenants whose lease is not over till June. couple things we found out the day we closed:

He is on house arrest because his son called the cops on him and said he was a drug dealer.(this is over on Thursday Feb25)

Smokes in the house even though its prohibited on lease, and even though we've asked him to stop still hangs his head out the window to smoke in front of us.

Has a car parked int eh driveway that he says he cannot move till HA is over. Totally fine, its not moved once. 

So, the issue is, him and his wife are mean people. I am inclined to believe they ARE drug dealers. They have a camera set out outside which he claims is for the car to be watched(always live not recording) but whenever we have a friend over they are quick to run to the window and ask what they want, really rudely.

They constantly let people park int he driveway when i message them and tell them to have them leave and park on the street(btw TONS of free street parking out front)

The kicker here is their lease also states they cannot have pets. Well the wife brought a giant pitbull home last night. No issues with pitbulls, but there was no discussion whatsoever and its a violation. 

Husband went up there about twenty minutes ago to ask him to bring the dog elsewhere. He FLIPPED HIS ****. said we have a dog (we do but we take care of it clean up and we inherited their lease, so its not like they asked us to have a pet addendum added they just did it). He threatened to "smash both of us" because hes sick of the disrespect from his wife(me asking them to not allow people park int he driveway). He also said that since we moved in strange things have been happening and people have been watching the house. We legit work full time jobs, have a 3 yr old and i'm in school full time as well. We are as normal as normal could get. My hubs recorded all of this on his phone. Clear as day recording. Said he was going to move by the end of the month next month. Hubs said fine, just have it in writing and the dog gone by the end of the day. 

I have my cure or quit ready for certified mailing tomorrow regarding the dog in case they thing they can walk all over us some more. 

Any other advice?We are located in RI. I'm shaking, and sick to my stomach and I could really use any help possible. We have a lawyer on call for tomorrow  and the letter will be sent as well.
