Landlord Won't Respond

I just recently signed a lease and gave the deposit for the house I'm renting, it's been about a week. The landlord now won't respond to any texts or calls for me to pay the rent. I have already turned on the electric and water. What do I do? If I can't move in to the place or even get my landlord to respond to collect my rent is the lease able to be terminated by me as a tenant?
