The Tenant Process

My husband and I just bought our first rental property. We are in the process of getting contractors in there to fix it up and hopefully have it ready to rent out January 1, 2016. However, we need some help when it comes to getting people to do an application, what system should we use for paying rent, what should the lease look like, etc. We need some help with all of this and are a little overwhelmed. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Kelli, for that big picture, you might check the classic of landlording lit, a blog post I made on some great starter books (should be free at library) then to fine tune, maybe look at this site under searches like applications, screening, leases......

anyone taking the plunge has my vote! Congrats.....

Best of luck...
