Who pays for clogged dishwasher: tenant or landlord?
My tenant said the dishwasher had a problem. The plumber came and said it was because of a clogged pipe. The tenant has been in the home for 1 year. The plumber is sending me the bill. Who should pay: the tenant or the landlord? What if I pay now, can I deduct it from the security deposit?

Ask the plumber if there was something wrong with your dishwasher or your pipe or was it from excessive food scraps in the machine.
A year tenant, if no other problems I would pick up the tab but have a dishwasher class and make it clear that this was a one time courtesy to the tenant.
