Out-of-state landlord w/ property in New York
I've read that New York is not a landlord-friendly state, but I'm curious how true that is. Does anyone here own rental properties in New York but live out of state? I would love to hear about your experience.

Just my opinion @Nolan O.but landlord friendly vs. Tenant friendly areas is a cop-out. Im in MA which is generally referred to as tenant friendly. I invest based on financials not landlord tenant laws. Take care of your properties and screen your tenants. If you get a bad egg just be sure you know the laws. If you follow the laws and the tenant doesn't you will win in court. Evictions are relatively rare when you do what you're supposed to and you treat your tenants right.
