Tenant swapping out appliances?

Hello! We recently learned that our tenant swapped out the dischwasher in the property with thier own dishwasher. They said it didn't work so they just wanted to use their own. We were not told that there was an issue with ours apnor were we asked permission for them to do so. Now they are getting ready to move. What would you do? Now I assume they will be moving our dishwasher back in and I have an appliance that will need to be fixed.
