2nd Floor Deck - Asset or Liability
I'm buying a rental property which has a second floor deck. The deck is in poor condition. It was actually scary walking on it. The floor boards seemed super thin and brittle.
I'm trying to decide whether to restore it or tear it down. Is it a value add or a liability (or a money sink) as far as rentals go?
There is a nice backyard and side yard on the property. The platform in the picture will be removed. The house is in PA.
