tenant deposit
Hey guys its been awhile since Ive posted because I have been busy renovating my place. The tenant recently moved out. I have a question regarding deposits. When I bought the place she did not have a deposit because her brother owned the place. When I bought the place I made her pay a deposit for damages. After she moved out she left some garbage and in general did not clean the place. She also did not clean the carpets and now have mud and grime stains that now I must hire someone to remove. She also permanently stained the linoleum in one room because she spilled salt (rock salt) when she moved out. A lot of it melted and stained the floor. Am I able to keep part of her deposit? Thanks!
