Eviction problems
I am new to the landlord business. I purchased a two unit building and have the tenant from hell. He was just thrown in jail for aggravated domestic battery and will not see the light of day for 7 years. My problem is with his girlfriend. Although she is not on the lease, she has established residence and will not leave. I have served her the proper five day notice and started the eviction process with an attorney. The police were unable to serve her and now I have to hire a special process server. Anybody know how long I will I will have to wait for another court date? And, Is she liable for anything? She claims she is not responsible for anything because she is not on the lease. Is this true?

In baltimore city, just evict " the tenant" and forget her. Once the sheriff shows up to evict "the tenant", anyone in said house is out.
