How to handle damage to hardwood floor

Tenant moved a heavy piece of drawer and the path that it was dragged in has a huge  line which shows the damage. How do I address this. Do I charge the tenant for the damage? These are original hardwood floor. Repalcing will cost 1800$ so how much can i withhold from the deposit.

Thanks.
