I have broken into many a house with the owners permision

That could result in a very exciting experience, even with permission.

The first house I tried to break into a house a cop car drove by and we froze. The cops didn't even look as they drove by.

More recently cop showed up and I was explaining I was the new owner and he said he had to wait for his partner.

Two more cars showed up. The most experienced cop said you don't need to worry. People trying to break in illegally don't do it in the middle of the day, through the front door and they certainly don't bring replacement locks.
