How to reject an applicant politely
I have 2 very qualified applicants but unfortunately I only have to pick one. How do I politely reject the other one. And is there any law I have to follow regarding doing so? I live in California. Thanks in advance

Simple to the point.
Thank you so much for your application. Unfortunately another applicant was chosen.
