Eviction Due to Foreclosure

Hi Folks!

So everything I read says RUN the other way whenever it shows someone has an eviction.  I did a walkthrough with a prospective tenant and he seemed honest and upfront about being evicted approx 3 yrs ago.  He said it was due to the owner not paying the mortgage and they were evicted due to that.

Any guidance in this area? Thanks so much

It is possible that as you look into this you may find that he was never actually evicted.  I have had tenants who were asked to leave for a variety of reasons think they were evicted, but had never been through the legal process.
