CA- Tenant asking for relocation expenses

Hi I own a home in Orange County California which we had rented out to a family for 20 months. We are now moving in that house and gave 90 days notice to our tenants to vacate. Tenants are demanding for relocation assistance which is worth one month of rent. Are we responsible? FYI its single family home

Look up your local laws.  I know where I have a rental in BC (very tenant friendly), that is required.  For me it was a matter of reimbursing them for the last month at move out vs them not paying the last month.
