Extra amenities at a rental
This is a SFR rental located in Fort Lauderdale. I am not on the river, but I am across and there is a public access alley to the river sixty feet from the house.
I am toying with the idea of providing a kayak and a paddle board with the house. Both can be lifted/hoised and stored in a storage area by the car port.
I don't have to buy them, I have them in my garage and I haven't used them in years, and I thought may be I should get some mileage out of them by providing that as a "feature" to that rental house.
So, is this a good feature to have to make my house more competitive, or is it a potential liability? I am not that worried about getting damages and wear and tear, they are almost indestructable. I guess it could get lost or stolen, similar to lawn furniture.
But if a tenant take my kayak out and have an accident, could I be liable?
