Where can I find washer and dryer machines with digital or card payment options suitable for a four-unit property in  Dayton Ohio? What is the average cost for purchase, installation, and the associated app? Additionally, what are the typical maintenance costs for these machines?

@Chris Holloway Once you find these machines I recommend doing a thorough cost analysis of the difference in price plus the ongoing cost of internet vs the amount of loads needed to recoup this cost.

I have a 4-unit with one washer and one dryer coin operated. The amount of use they get is heavily dependent upon your tenants. I have two long term tenants and two relatively new tenants. Before these two sets of tenants moved in I was only averaging about $10/machine per week. With the newer tenants I am only averaging about $10 total per week.

I’ve got two women in one unit I suspect are washing clothes and hang drying them as the washer is currently getting the majority of the money.

I have two people in one unit who have told me they prefer to put ALL their clothes in one big cycle at the laundromat and simply pay $8-10 for the wash and a couple dollars for the dry so they only have to do one load and spend only an hour and 15 minutes doing it as opposed to 4-5 hours for multiple loads in my cheaper machine.

The ability to generate money for laundry at a 2-4 unit building is totally dependent upon the tenants you have. I just wouldn’t spend a lot of extra money providing what for me has been essentially a break even process.
