Need Landlord and tenant attorney with mold issue experience
Hello everyone,
I'm seeking assistance from a landlord and tenant attorney who has experience dealing with mold issues. Recently, my tenants discovered mold in my property, and honestly, I wasn't aware of its presence since I've never resided there, and previous tenants never reported any mold concerns. Upon discovering the mold, I've taken proactive measures to prevent its spread. I offered the tenants the option to terminate the lease, along with returning their security deposit and February rent. However, they declined the offer and have been sending me disrespectful emails, demanding additional compensation.
I'm in need of guidance on how to proceed from here. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
