Vinyl Sheet Flooring in College Rental

Has anyone ever choose to use vinyl sheet flooring throughout your entire rental property? I have a college rental and am debating between vinyl sheet flooring from Menards that has a wood design or a basic tan frieze carpet.

More than likely, college kids will not take care of the flooring so I'm trying to find the most durable option. I'm thinking vinyl sheets will be the most durable without the need to re-install each year between tenants.

I know vinyl sheet flooring has come a LONG way since "Grandma's old linoleum" but I've never seen an entire SFR done in this.

Anyone have any feedback or advice? Thanks!

A lot of vinyl sheet goods aren't that durable when it comes to hard use. Cigarette burns occur easily and it can stain. And it tears and scrapes when heavy items are dragged across (that's the biggest problem I've seen). Sheet goods have to flexible enough to roll, so IMO it's just not hard enough for student use. The vinyl planking products I've used are all thicker and harder than sheet goods. But I don't know if I'd want them in a student rental.

You might want to consider commercial vinyl tiles everywhere except the bedrooms. It's really durable and cleanable and can be good looking in the right color combos. Here on the West Coast, ceramic or porcelain tile is common now for all living areas in rentals.
