Furnace fried due to utility company bad wire outside, who is responsible?

Quan Tran

Hello everyone, two of my rental units' furnaces are fried because National Grid (utility company) had a bad wire outside of the house causing fluctuations in electrical current coming into the building.  Should I file an insurance claim or is National Grid responsible for this?  Anyone ever had this happen?  Thank you so much for your help.

@Quan Tran

I would file insurance claim and see if they go after national grid.
