House prices and inventories

On TV they just mentioned that home sales are down since November. I remember reading that there was supposed to be a new wave of home sales from bank foreclosure inventories, but I never saw it. What do you all think of the future housing prices? Will they head down again? Are you all buying houses to rent or holding back? Why? What do you all think for the long term?

Markets are local, local, local. Macro trends are not relevant. Now has been and will continue to be a great time to acquire deals. Just make sure you know how to spot them!
