Screening Tenants with a Visa
Hi there,
We have strong candidates for renting our property but they are one year in the country. Is it a concern? Help me understand the pros and cons of renting to non-nationals.
Thanks in advance!

If they do not have a visa or SSN you can't screen them or know who they are. They can vanish from one day to the next. They can be assigned a different kind of ID by the IRS which helps the IRS collect taxes but does nothing for a LL. These folks can be excellent people but how can you screen them.
