Month to month lease
Hi everyone, I have a multi family house that I rent out and live in. I signed a lease back in July and during signing my tenant requested we go month to month at the end of the lease and I decided in the moment that it's alright. We initialed next to that option on the lease. But coming up on the anniversary of signing, I'm not wanting to do month to month anymore due to uncertainty and want to stay the one year lease. Has anyone ever dealt with this and how did you handle talking with your tenant to get back to a regular lease? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Quote from @Leonard Leon:
When someone is on a month-to-month agreement, you can change ANY terms you want with 30 days notice. Notify the Tenant right now and tell him you changed your mind. He can go month-to-month for one month and then has to be out or sign a new one-year lease.
