Replacing 5-7 feet of pipe and joints

Looking to verify estimated cost of the below in Cleveland:

"The old galvanized pipe and cast-iron joints are beyond salvaging. They need to be cut out and replaced. Around 5 to 7 feet of pipe work needs to be done"

If this is a water line, then @Bob Stevens is right. Easy fix. Although I would always prefer to replace the entire line now while you're messing with it...you will just have to revisit this in the future.

If this is the sewer line, then best to replace it all now as well.....
