In-county agent requirement for multifamily registration in NJ
In New Jersey, multifamily property owners need to register the DCA, and an "in-county agent" is required when registering the property.
What can I do when, as an owner, I self-manage my multifamily and I don't live in the county?
Any suggestion is welcome.

You obviously have a "local team" (handyman/tradespeople/attorney/showing agent/etc.) - I would approach the one you think would be the most amenable to having their mailing address used as a local contact.
Alternatively, if you live close enough to the property where you fulfill these roles, I would appeal to the appropriate authorities with your situation, and explain to them that you understand the intent of that restriction, and that you fully intend to bear that responsibility even though your address is on the other side of a line some dude drew on a map many decades ago.
A final "hail mary" might be that you set up a "Mailboxes Etc." post box or something similar. It's my understanding that those addresses are written as street addresses and as long as that "local address" blank is filled in on your application, I'll bet the bureaucrat will move along to their other paperwork. Just a hunch.
