Newbie Landlord in Northern Virginia

Loid Danga
Posted

I am putting my property in Alexandria, Virginia up for lease and would appreciate advice regarding the following;

1) Where could i get a reasonably priced lease agreement for Virginia?

2) I am not comfortable to use my primary address on the lease agreement. Can i use a P.O BOX address?

3) Any things to watch out for a new landlord?

Thanks, Loid

Welcome to Bigger Pockets and congrats on the new property in Alexandria! I also own a couple of condos in Alexandria and I use the Bigger Pockets Landlord forms which include the lease agreements. Apartments.com also has free resource of setting up a tenant and you can accept payments electronically through it. I would put that in the lease as the only option for payment.
