Men Showing property to Women.

Posted

I don't know if other people are as paranoid about this as I am. It's hard to imagine nobody worries about it.

I usually try to have my wife with me but that is not always possible.  Today, I am Face Timing with my son more or less discretely while showing the inside of the house.

I wonder if I should make this clear to the unaccompanied female applicant? I don't plan on filming her of course. I guess I could even put the phone in my pocket.

What safety strategies do others take?

Roughly 1.35 million people die in car accidents every year. There are roughly 250,000 rape allegations every year. It's estimated that around 5% of rape allegations are false. That'd be 12,500 false accusations per year. You are 108 times more likely to be killed driving to your showings than to be falsely accused of rape at your showings.

The real question is, why are you still using a vehicle to get around?
