What are your favorite objects in each category?

I’m curious to see what others like in multiple categories and find some of the common themes. Many of you have been doing this for a long time and have found what is a great balance between cost, quality, longevity, etc. This can be specific brands or type of material and more.

Categories can be plentiful from appliances, to cabinetry, to flooring, to paint, to water heaters, and through HVAC, and more.

With that said, what are your hidden secrets and lessons learned? What is your common go to for a specific category?
