Would you buy a new construction 260k vs 34 y o house for 210K
Hi guys!
I have a questions for you..
I am trying to figure out which is a better deal...
2 houses, same sq ft, both not in a flood zone, same neighborhood, same rent, same block structure, same everything, except:
1) one house is a new construction (just built in 2021, never been lived at) that cost 260k
2) and the other house is a 34 year old house that cost 210K
State Florida (not sure if it is important)

@Mary Jay I would agree with @Jay Hinrichs and others. The new house would rent for more, and won't need major work, and will be built to higher code especially for hurricane protection. It may also have cheaper insurance due to built to higher code.
