Local Bank vs Large Bank

Having recently relocated to a new area,  they do not have the same bank that I used prior to moving. Being new to the world of investing and looking towards the future.. I'm not sure which type of bank or what types of things I should be looking at for a personal account in order to potentially set me up for greater success in the future when it does come time to seek financing when the time comes. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

National banks suck. Go local bank or Credit Union.

They keep getting caught screwing their customers. 2009? got caught adding misc charges to customers accounts. Over and over. Don't deal with people you can't trust.
