Do You Have a Written "Investment Philosophy"? + Example Template
Hi Folks - I recently talked with a member who was having a great deal of trouble pulling the trigger and making their first investment. I thought it might be helpful for this person (and perhaps some others) to commit to writing a formal personal investment philosophy.
This begged the question, "What does 'good' look like in terms of a personal investment philosophy document?"
To that end, I decided to take stab at creating one, a single page document that outlines the core beliefs that define my personal investment approach, and then to templatize this in case others find it valuable.
Here is the Personal Investment Philosophy Template if you are interested.
I'd love feedback and to learn from others who have committed their investment philosophy to writing. Anything to add/subtract? Anything I didn't think of?
