Are there any emerging areas for long term rental investments with Condos in Florida

I’m looking to invest in the Florida condo market for long-term rental income and am hoping to get some advice. I’m especially interested in identifying up-and-coming neighborhoods or lesser-known coastal areas where properties are still affordable but poised for growth over the next 5–10 years.

For context, I’ve mostly been researching popular spots like Miami, Tampa, and Orlando. However, established areas can often come with a premium price tag and thinner margins. Instead, I’m curious if anyone here has insights into emerging “hidden gem” neighborhoods—places where new infrastructure, improved amenities, or shifting demographics could drive property values and rental demand in the near future.

Thanks

Hey Mitchell, Florida has some great emerging spots for long-term rental condos! If you’re looking outside the big names like Miami and Tampa, check out areas like Lakeland—it’s growing fast and sits perfectly between Tampa and Orlando—or Seminole Heights in Tampa, which is super trendy right now with young professionals moving in. Lake Nona in Orlando is blowing up too, thanks to all the medical and tech development there. For a coastal vibe, Pensacola Beach and Stuart are hidden gems with affordable prices and growing demand. Focus on areas with new infrastructure and population growth—that’s where the magic happens. Let me know if you need more ideas!
