Is it a landlord's job to house the homeless? Landlords have a ton of houses, and the homeless need houses, so it's up to landlords to house the homeless, right? Wrong! A landlord's job is not to house the homeless. A landlord's job is to trade housing for rent, and when the rent isn't paid, it's the landlord's job to evict the tenant who decided not to pay their rent.
