Looking for good tax accountant / attorney
Looking for a good tax strategist. Either an accountant specializing in real estate or tax attorney specializing in real estate
If you're looking for a tax attorney because you have an issue with the IRS let me know as I have two great referrals. If you're looking mainly for tax strategy like you mentioned I would reach out to a few active accountants here in the forums or use BP free tool "Build Your Investing Team" to match with an accountant that might fit you best.

You came to the right place. A good real estate accountant can save you a ton of money using entity selection and formation, tax deductions and tax planning.
I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation and tax planning.
You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.
I would also recommend looking for a accountant willing to work with you throughout the year. You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.
There are over 20 real estate accountants on this site. Reach out to a few, see who you like and see if they are accepting new clients.
Good luck.

As someone who specializes in real estate accounting, I can share a few insights that might help you find the right tax strategist.
- Real Estate Accountants: Working with an accountant who has a focus on real estate is crucial. These professionals not only understand the intricacies of tax planning for real estate investments, but they also stay updated on the latest tax laws and strategies that can maximize your deductions and improve your cash flow. Look for someone with experience in areas like 1031 exchanges, cost segregation studies, and passive activity loss rules.
- Real Estate Tax Attorneys: If your situation involves complex transactions, legal disputes, or estate planning, a tax attorney specializing in real estate can be an invaluable resource. They bring a legal perspective to your tax strategy, which is particularly useful if you’re navigating issues that might require more than just accounting expertise.
Depending on your needs, you might even consider a collaborative approach, where both an accountant and a tax attorney work together to optimize your tax strategy.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more specific questions—I’m happy to share more insights.

Aloha Dan!
Here on BP they dont let us promote ourselves as accountants its against the forums rules. I would suggest reaching out to people providing free value here answering peoples questions and see if they are accepting new clients. Best of luck!
Tax accountants and tax attorney's will normally do two different tasks.
When I think about a tax attorney, they will normally defend you in a tax court, interpret a new tax law that passed to see how it applies to you and your business or deal with complex tax laws such as transfer pricing.
The tax accountant will normally help with tax strategies and compliance.
Best of luck.
