Looking to buy a STR property

Shawntay Mclean
Posted

Hello Everyone,

My name is Shawntay and I am looking to purchase a property (condo vs. SFH) in the Tampa / St. Petersburg area, but feeling discouraged. I've spoken with a few agents, thus far, and the theme is that it's difficult to find STR-friendly properties. I know that inventory is scarce in this current market, but are there areas that still have good profit potential?

I am looking forward to the comments.  Any help with agent/lender connections would be great also.

Less than 30 day rentals are not allowed in St. Pete due to zoning. Any condo that allows STR is going to be very hard to find due to bylaws around insurance.
