Tax advisor in CA or TX?

Based in CA, just starting out in REI. About to purchase first investment property (SFH) in TX. Looking for good tax advisor specialized in REI after reading Tax strategies and Advanced Tax strategies by Amanda Han:). Any limitation in terms of Advisor's location? CA or TX? Assuming Federal tax, probably there isn't much difference, the location probably is more related to state income tax planning.

Also, wonder if there are any online meetups for Northern Cal REI? Looking to get connected with like-minded people. Thank you all for recommendations!
