Nashville Area STR Legal Advice

Jeff Harvey
Posted

Hello Everyone,

I live in Florida and am planning to setup a short-term rental just outside of Nashville in Thompson's Station. Do you know of any lawyer's in the area that have helped setup LLC's or the legal structure for short-term rental owners to provide liability and personal asset protection? I understand that the property will need to be owned by the LLC. Legal contacts would be very helpful!

Why do you think you need an LLC?

Will this house have a mortgage?

If so that is one layer of protection.

Insurance another layer.

You could get an umbrella policy for a 3rd layer.

Also banks won't usually finance a property in an LLC.
