Real Estate Transfer Tax in PA - Transferring between LLC'S

Nadav Ben Horin
Posted

I currently own an LLC that owns 3 properties in Philadelphia, and i would like to transfer them to a new LLC that i recently opened, and close the old one due to a new operation that i am putting together.

I would like to know what is the best way to transfer the deed, and if i will need to pay the Real Estate transfer tax

I know that there is a thing called a quitclaim deed, which waives the real estate transfer tax but i'm not sure if a quitclaim deed is the way to transfer property between llc's.

What do you think?
