Divorce and Quitclaim Deed

Hello everyone,

I am representing a buyer who is going through a divorce and he is considering buying now, before the process of the divorce has begun.

Does a quitclaim deed protect him in any possible case?

Thanks!

Hi @Luca Giani from my understanding a quit claim deed is often used to transfer dual ownership to soul ownership since there is no protection for the buyer. Also, transferring ownership doesn't transfer the mortgage to one person. I'm not sure how you want to protect him.
