Do I need a Real Estate Attorney?
Hi all! First time dealing with a wholesaler, looking at a rehab project near Dallas. Texas is a title company state, however, would you hire an attorney to inspect the contract at least for the first time dealing with the wholesaler? I assume the answer is "absolutely". If so, may we ask for any known attorneys in the Dallas area? I will also check the marketplace. Thank you.

@Brenda Whittaker As long as the title company will insure the title then you don't "Need" an attorney but it could be a learning experience for an attorney to review things and look them over.
I would make sure any earnest money deposit is paid to the title company and not the wholesaler. Next I would want to see the contract the wholesaler is assigning. Keep in mind in a wholesale deal, you are buying a "contract"from the wholesaler. If the wholesaler won't show you the contract you don't know what you are buying. If the wholesaler balks at either of those I would walk form the deal. Those are both reasonable requests. If the wholesaler will not agree they are either a crook, a newbie that doesn't know any better, or someone who is just unreasonable.
