Won a bid on e-bay. Liens?

Tried to do a title search but its a small city and not such info online.
Tsunami hit Cresent City and this lot is there.
Never purchased property from BK trustee and i am afraid after payment i can inherit some IRS and other liens and need advice what can be wiped out in BK asser sale and what cant?
Find a local research company who will do a check for liens recorded in the county recorder office and will have the info ready tomorrow.
Any advice how to proceed?
