First househack and questions about my lease.

I recently closed on my first house hack in Conyers, GA. I just moved in within the last two weeks and posted my open side for rent. My real estate agent sent me the lease she uses for her rental property in Georgia. Is this safe to use with no holes in the lease? Or should I reach out to a real estate lawyer to confirm?

Hello Jordan. Congratulations on your first house hack.

As far as the lease it really depends. As a Realtor in Georgia I use GAR (Georgia Association of Realtors) forms that have been vetted and are updated by attorneys every year and sometimes even in the middle of the year we receive updates as well. I doubt if she provided you with GAR forms because they would have her name at the bottom of the form and as Realtors we are NOT allowed to do. Therefore I would recommend having a lease that someone else provides to you examined by a Real Estate attorney.

Good luck.
