ROI......A FRAUD?

Hi, just got a call in the Dallas area asking for advice. Seems a company called ROI, a business consultation group based in IL. convinced someone that thier business needed tweaking. Basically, some guy worked a few days with the bookkeeper and got some information and then they mailed them some boiler plate statements with the heading, FOR: and company name, along with a bill for 13 grand. No advice, no solution to any problem. When they came back, the guy objected and the worker bee who sat in the office collecting information walked out and said he quit and the supervisor tried to convince them it was a valuable service. The agreement requires arbitration in IL. My only advice was go to an attorney.

Anyone ever hear of such a scam or of ROI?

They are certainly out there!
