Removing a mechanic lien per Judge's order
Hello all: I had a scumbag contractor attempt to extort monies from me because he was terminated for theft and lying. He placed an improper mechanic lien that I fought with an attorney's assistance. He lied, altered documents, etc.
Since I am in Chicago, I also reported him to the Business Affairs office to open an investigation. After almost two years, the judge dismissed his case and ordered him to remove the lien. The judge ordered the removal last month, but the lien is still on the property. I am still paying my attorney, so I rather do myself. Lawyers are very expensive, but he was cheaper than the amount the contractor was trying to extort. Do I go back to the judge or can I file a form for immediate compliance with the order?
Thank you.

Record the Order... if necessary.
Around here we would pull that civil suit docket, see that Order and know we could ignore the lien as long as the time for appeal had passed.
