Neighbors deck on my lot
I just bought a lot to build a duplex on. I got my survey back yesterday and the neighbors deck is .4 feet or about 5 inches over the line on my side. My main concern is if somebody would fall off the railing(which is on my side) and sue me. I'm looking for advise on how to handle this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

@Greg Fox I hate to say this, but you will need to get your attorney involved. Yes you should talk to the owner/neighbor too but either way it could get messy.
Is the surveyor correct?
Maybe you could get the neighbor to buy 1ft of land from you, that might resolve it easily. But either way you will need legal advice...
