Seeking Denver Lawyer to aid in incorporation, contracts
Hey folks,
I am seeking a Denver lawyer to assist in the incorporation of an LLC and to overview my essential contracts. Would anyone be able to recommend a firm? I have called some who advertise themselves as "real estate lawyers" but they state that my task is outside of their scope of work. Is there a particular type of lawyer that I need?

@Samuel Hall probably 98% of all real estate sales are done with the Colorado Standard forms. Up until this year, making a contract assignable was as simple as checking a box on the contract. Now you have to add a line in the additional provisions for a contract to be assignable. Not hard to do. It is my understanding that the change was done so that it was more overt when the contract was assignable. A licensed agent must use the standard forms so if you are a student then it won't be long before you have to use them. Paying an attorney to redraft those documents would be a waste of money, that is why you were turned down. The only forms that require an agent would be the contracts for agency so yes all but the contracts for agency would be applicable. I would say that there are probably less than a 1% of the deals are done without using the standard forms. I know I would hate to stand before a judge and try and argue that my "custom" form should contractually obligate someone to sell their property to me. Most guru contracts are so biased toward the drafter. Some are probably illegal. There are plenty of RE deals to be done that you don't need to be on the fringe so much that you need special contracts. Learn the standard form. It's rather buyer friendly.
